Last fall we created this 20-Ft. tall, ceiling height luxurious custom designed wedding cake for a Vegas “royalty” couple. Our clients wanted a Sylvia Weinstock style cake, and since Sylvia had recently retired, they approached us to fulfill this wish.

Our design took Sylvia Weinstock’s style to the next level.  With 34 tiers floating in air, each covered with an explosion of hand-crafted sugar flowers meticulously crafted petal by petal to match the sumptuous florals at this fantasy wedding.

Making the tiers seemingly float in air while keeping the 20 foot tall structure safe and secure was quite an engineering challenge.  We added an experienced engineer to our staff, who had a local engineering firm fabricate our custom-designed cake frame and came on-site to supervise its installation.

Thousands of sugar flowers from amongst wisterias, peonies, roses, sweet peas & freesias in shades of whites, cream, lavender and lilacs were hand-crafted by Ana and 9 members of our staff for 8 weeks, then carefully & painstakingly packed for transport across the country.

Because the setting for the cake was such an extravagant display of floral bounty, the wedding cake needed to be over the top, dramatic, and opulent in order to stand out and make a statement.

We not only provided the main wedding cake but also decorated 500 mini cakes, one for each guest.

It was a very physically demanding labor of love, but the end result was well worth it.
